Privacy Policy

This policy covers Lumen — Live Wallpapers (com.scamplabs.wallpaper), an Android live wallpaper published by Scamp Labs.

Last updated 11 August 2026

The short version

Lumen does not collect any data. It has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. It makes no network requests at all. Nothing you do in the app, and nothing the app reads from your device, ever leaves your phone.

There is no data for us to sell, share, lose, or hand over, because none of it is ever gathered in the first place.

What we collect

Nothing. Specifically, Lumen does not collect, store, or receive:

  • Personal information — no name, email address, phone number, or account of any kind. The app has no sign-in.
  • Device or advertising identifiers — no Android Advertising ID, no device ID, no fingerprinting.
  • Location — the app does not request or use location permission, and does not derive your location by any other means.
  • Usage or analytics data — there is no analytics SDK, no telemetry, and no event logging.
  • Crash or diagnostic reports — the app includes no crash-reporting service.
  • Contacts, photos, files, messages, microphone, or camera data.

What leaves your device

Nothing. Lumen performs no network communication. It does not contact us or any third party, so there is no transmission of data to disclose — encrypted or otherwise.

The app functions entirely offline. You can put your device in airplane mode and the wallpaper behaves exactly the same.

Permissions the app uses

Lumen requests no runtime permissions. Android never prompts you to grant it anything. In particular it does not request location access and does not request notification access.

It registers as a live wallpaper service, which is what lets Android set it as your wallpaper. That is the extent of its privileged access to the system.

On-device signals used to draw the wallpaper

To animate, the wallpaper reads a small amount of state that Android exposes to any app without a permission prompt:

  • The current time — so the scene can shift through the day.
  • Battery level — so the scene can respond to how charged your device is.
  • Device tilt (accelerometer / rotation sensors) — so the scene can parallax as you move your phone.
  • Touch input on the wallpaper surface — so the scene can react where you tap.

These readings are used only to render the current frame. They are held in memory for as long as it takes to draw, are never written to a persistent log or database, are never combined into a profile, and are never transmitted anywhere. They stop the moment the wallpaper is not being displayed.

Your settings

Any wallpaper preferences you choose are saved locally on your device by Android, so the app remembers how you like it. We cannot see them. Uninstalling Lumen removes them along with the app.

Children

Lumen is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13. Because nothing is collected, there is no children’s data for us to access or delete.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Lumen ever changes what it accesses, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above before that version is released, and update the Data Safety declaration on Google Play to match.
