What it does
Ten scenes
A ridge at first light, lanterns strung over a bay, candles drifting on a pond. Every one of them is drawn in code on your phone rather than played back as a video, so nothing streams and nothing is fetched — the scenes are already on the device and they work with no connection at all.
It knows what time it is
Scenes read the clock. Daylight comes up and fades across Ridgeline; Lantern Festival’s lanterns burn brighter the darker it gets outside.
It answers back
Tilt the phone and the layers part. Tap Lantern Garden or Koi Still and the surface moves where your finger went.
Easy on the battery
30 frames a second is the ceiling, and a scene nothing is happening to stops drawing altogether until something changes. Screen off, or another app in front, and it stops. At 15% it drops to a still image until you charge back up.
It asks you for nothing
No account, no permission prompt, no ads, and nothing to buy. It can’t reach the internet either — the INTERNET permission isn’t in the app, so Android won’t open a connection for it.
