Word Search, a daily word puzzle

Every day there’s one grid and one list of words, the same for everyone. The words all fit one theme. Find them all to solve it.

How to play Word Search

  1. 1Drag across a word in the grid, in a straight line, from either end.
  2. 2Found one? It’s coloured in and crossed off the list.
  3. 3Words run across and down at first. They slant from level 41, and run backwards from level 81.
  4. 4Stuck? 💡 Hint shows where a word starts, for 10 coins.
  5. 5Found them all? One more word is hiding that isn’t on the list. Can you find the bonus word too?

Rules

  • The grid is 6 x 6 to 10 x 10 letters, with 4 to 10 words to find. They all fit one theme, and each is in the grid once.
  • Each word runs in a straight line with no gaps. Drag from its first letter to its last, or the other way.
  • Levels 1 to 40 hide words across and down. From level 41 they slant down too, from level 81 they also run backwards and up, and from level 121 every way. From level 161, two words can share a letter.
  • 💡 Hint shows where a word starts. It costs 10 coins, and it never lowers your XP or stars.
  • Once every word is found, there’s one more hidden: the bonus word. It fits the theme, and it never uses a letter of a word on the list.
  • Show me ends the puzzle and shows where every word was. A level you solve after that gets 1 star.
  • There’s no timer. A new Word Search comes out every day at 00:00 UTC (5:30 in the morning in India), from Monday 16 November.

When does a new Word Search puzzle come out?

Every day at 00:00 UTC, which is 5:30 in the morning in India, from Monday 16 November. It's the same grid and words for everyone, wherever you are. The 200 levels are there to play any time.

How is Word Search scored?

Find every word on the list and you get 60 XP, hints or not. If you tap Show me instead, you still get 10 XP. The first daily puzzle you solve each day, whichever game it's in, also counts for today's challenge, for 50 XP more.

How do the Word Search levels work?

There are 200 levels in 5 tiers of 40, easy to hard, and solving one opens the next. Find every word for 2 stars, and the bonus word too for 3. Stuck? Skip (30 coins) opens the next one. A level solved after Show me or a Skip gets 1 star. The first time you solve a level you get 10 XP for each star.

Can words go backwards in Word Search?

Yes, from level 81. The first levels only run across and down, and from level 41 slanting down too. From level 81 words can also run backwards and up, and from level 121 every way, slanting up included. You can drag a word from either end.

How do hints work in Word Search?

💡 Hint shows where a word starts. It costs 10 coins, and a word you've bought a hint for stays hinted. Hints never lower your XP or stars. You earn coins by winning games and solving puzzles.

What's the bonus word in Word Search?

Once you've found every word on the list, one more word on the same theme is hiding in the grid. It's not on the list, and it never uses a letter of a word on the list. On a level it turns 2 stars into 3, 30 XP instead of 20 the first time. On the daily it's a ⭐ on your result.

Is there a timer in Word Search?

No. Take as long as you like. The puzzle stays today's until 00:00 UTC, and your place is saved if you leave and come back.
