About the puzzle

Numeridle, a daily number puzzle

Every day there's one target to make, the same for everyone. You get six numbers to make it with. Join two at a time until one of them is the target.

Free, in your browser, no sign-up. Want more? Play the Numeridle levels, or try today’s ClueCraft.

How to play Numeridle

  1. 1Tap a number, then +, −, × or ÷, then another number.
  2. 2The two numbers turn into the answer. Keep going with the numbers you have.
  3. 3Make the target and you've got it.
  4. 4Stuck? ⌫ (Back) takes back your last tap or sum, and Start again puts all your numbers back. Neither costs a try.
  5. 5Check uses your closest number and ends the try. You have three tries, and Check needs at least one move in the try.
  6. 6On a keyboard, Space picks a tile, Backspace steps back and Enter checks.

Rules

  • You start with six numbers and a target from 10 to 999.
  • Each number can be used once. You don't have to use them all.
  • Every answer must be a whole number above 0. Taking away always takes the smaller number from the bigger one.
  • Dividing has to come out even, and it always divides the bigger number by the smaller one.
  • Check ends a try with your number closest to the target, and you see how far off it was.
  • You have three tries. A new puzzle comes out at 00:00 UTC (5:30 in the morning in India).

Numeridle questions

When does a new Numeridle puzzle come out?

Every day at 00:00 UTC, which is 5:30 in the morning in India. It's the same numbers and target for everyone, wherever you are.

Is Numeridle free? Do I need an account?

It's free in your browser, with no account and no sign-up. Your XP, stars and results are saved on this device. To move them to another one, make a save code in Settings.

How is Numeridle scored?

Make the target on try 1, 2 or 3 and you get 60, 40 or 20 XP. If you don't make it, you still get 10 XP. The first daily puzzle you solve each day, Numeridle or ClueCraft, also counts for today's challenge, for 50 XP more.

What if I miss a day of Numeridle?

Your XP, stars and badges stay. Each daily puzzle is only out on its own day, so you can't go back to one you missed, but the 50 levels are always there to play.

How do the Numeridle levels work?

There are 50 levels in 5 tiers of 10, and solving one opens the next. Make the target on your first try, in the fewest moves it takes, for 3 stars. Make it within two tries for 2 stars, or on the third for 1. The first time you solve a level you get 10 XP for each star.

Can I get fractions or negative numbers in Numeridle?

No. Every answer has to be a whole number above 0. Taking away always takes the smaller number from the bigger one, so taking away with 3 and 10 makes 7. Dividing has to come out even, so 12 ÷ 3 works but 7 ÷ 2 doesn't. Each number can be used once, and each answer joins your numbers for the next move.
