ClueCraft, a daily word puzzle

Every day there's one word to find, the same for everyone. You get its category and a first clue. Each clue after that gives a bit more away, so the fewer clues you need, the better you did.

How to play ClueCraft

  1. 1You see the word's category, its first clue and one box for each letter.
  2. 2Type a guess with the keys. It goes in when the last box is filled, so there's no Enter.
  3. 3Wrong? Your guess stays beside its clue, the next clue shows up, and you guess again.
  4. 4Not sure yet? Tap Skip to see the next clue without guessing.
  5. 5Get it in as few clues as you can. You have five.

Rules

  • The word is 3 to 8 letters long, A to Z only.
  • You get one guess for each clue. A wrong guess shows the next clue.
  • Every box needs a letter before a guess counts. Any spelling counts as a guess.
  • Get the word right and your score is the number of clues you saw, 1 to 5.
  • A wrong guess on clue 5 ends the game, and you see the word.
  • A new puzzle comes out at 00:00 UTC (5:30 in the morning in India).

When does a new ClueCraft puzzle come out?

Every day at 00:00 UTC, which is 5:30 in the morning in India. It's the same word for everyone, wherever you are.

Is ClueCraft free? Do I need an account?

It's free in your browser, with no account and no sign-up. Your XP, stars and results are saved on this device. To move them to another one, make a save code in Settings.

How is ClueCraft scored?

Solve it on clue 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and you get 60, 50, 40, 30 or 20 XP. If you don't solve it, you still get 10 XP. The first daily puzzle you solve each day, ClueCraft or Numeridle, also counts for today's challenge, for 50 XP more.

What if I miss a day of ClueCraft?

Your XP, stars and badges stay. Each daily puzzle is only out on its own day, so you can't go back to one you missed, but the 50 levels are always there to play.

How do the ClueCraft levels work?

There are 50 levels in 5 tiers of 10, and solving one opens the next. Solve a level by clue 2 for 3 stars, by clue 4 for 2 stars, or on clue 5 for 1. The first time you solve a level you get 10 XP for each star.

What counts as a guess, and what does Skip do?

Any word that fills every box counts as a guess, real word or not, and a wrong one shows the next clue. Skip shows the next clue without a guess. Both use up a clue, so they cost the same. You can't skip the last clue.
